After giving birth to her first child with Garrett Hedlund just before the new year, actress Emma Roberts took to the gram this week to show off their bundle of joy.
“Thank you 2020 for getting one thing right ☀️ Our bright light Rhodes Robert Hedlund,” she captioned the sweet snap, which showed her tenderly cradling her son.
For Rhodes’ social media debut, the newborn was wrapped up in a $21 Brixton Phoenix Sundown Muslin Swaddle blanket and wore an adorable little cap by Babe&Tess. The proud mom coordinated tangerine-colored balloon sleeve mini dress from Stella McCartney’s Spring 2021 and matching orange $475 Andrea Wazen “Gloria” mules.
The 28-year-old first announced her pregnancy on Instagram back in August after rumors began circulating earlier in the summer. She and her actor beau were first linked back in March 2019.
Back in November, the American Horror Story actress showed off her growing baby bump on the cover of Cosmopolitan. “So excited to share this with you guys! Thank you @cosmopolitan for having me as your first pregnant cover,” she gushed on Instagram. In the snap, Roberts glowed while wearing a pink crop top and matching low-rise pink skirt to show off her bump.
Roberts spilled to the outlet that she had been facing some fertility problems before she got pregnant and went through “a difficult process” of freezing her eggs. “It felt so permanent, and oddly, I felt like I had done something wrong,” she explained.
“I was so grateful to find out I was not alone in this,” she said, adding that speaking to others going through the same thing had brought her some comfort. “I hadn’t done anything ‘wrong’ after all. It sounds cheesy, but the moment that I stopped thinking about it, we got pregnant.”
Rhodes is just the latest little one to arrive during the Hollywood baby boom. Gigi Hadid, Billie Lourd, Amanda Seyfried, Rooney Mara, and Ashley Simpson Ross are among the stars who have all welcomed new additions to their families in the last few months alone.
