When you’re cast to depict someone as beloved as Princess Diana, there’s going to be a lot of hype around you. But when you not only play her, but play her better than anyone has in the past, you’re going to be a sensation. Such is the case for British actress Emma Corrin whose breakout role happened to be on season four of Netflix’s hit drama The Crown depicting none other than a young Diana Spencer.
Just like Princess Diana came to be, in the weeks since the show’s release, Corrin is becoming increasingly known for her sense of style. Similar to the late princess, Corrin is going against the grain with her wardrobe choices, opting instead to have fun and take risks with her outfits by picking bright colors and bold designs, such as the Richard Quinn dress she wore for one of her only in-person appearances on The Graham Norton Show.
To help inform her evolving style, the 24-year-old enlisted Harry Styles’ stylist, Harry Lambert, the person we have to thank for Styles’ best looks to date, including his Met Gala pussy-bow blouse and, most recently, every outfit featured on his Grammy-nominated ‘Golden’ music video. Lambert coordinated all of Corrin’s outfits for The Crown press run – all of which were brilliant and most of which we sadly missed out on seeing in their true red carpet glory due to COVID.
But thankfully, Lambert has taken it upon himself to share each press tour outfit in full on Instagram, showing behind-the-scenes fittings as Corrin figures out what to wear for TV and red carpet moments turned Zoom calls.
Below, a moment of mourning for the brilliant red carpet moments COVID stripped us of.
