Elle Fanning is the undisputed queen of breathtaking red carpet moments. And the 2021 Golden Globes have proven that she doesn’t even need a red carpet to do it.
The actress, who is nominated for her first Golden Globe for her role in The Great, is in attendance virtually from home due to the pandemic and a reduced version of the traditional Hollywood ceremony. Wearing custom Gucci, she looks straight out of a regal period drama regardless; made from a glacial blue silk and embellished with jewels, the gown couldn’t be more beautiful – even through the lens of Instagram.
Her hair and makeup complement the sartorial moment perfectly. Fanning is wearing the sleekest of up-dos, coiled elegantly into a twist and set with (presumably) a lot of shine spray. Her skin is, as always, creamy and flawless, accentuated only with a lick of blush and some artfully-placed highlighter atop her cheekbones. It’s her winged liner though that stole the show: crisp, glossy and framed by a row of curly black lashes.
Her lip was also a perfect neutral pink – matte, subdued and the epitome of old Hollywood glamour.
The frosting on top was a generous helping of diamonds from Leighton Jewels. Fanning wore drop diamond earrings, a wrist full of tennis bracelets and a small but sparkly pinkie ring.
Even online, she looks otherworldly – here’s hoping she takes home a golden statue.
