Dua Lipa is perhaps the only person—other than Harry Styles—to come out of the pandemic looking and sounding better than ever.
The 25-year-old singer is everywhere right now. She’s topping the music charts thanks to her new album Future Nostalgia (despite it being released in the middle of lockdown and still yet to be played in a dimly-lit nightclub), and she’s topping every best-dressed list, whether it be for her show-stopping red carpet looks, such as the Versace dress she wore to the Grammys, or her perfectly understated-but-sexy off-duty street style.
Proving just how much the world is obsessed with her, Lipa’s Grammys’ performance has been streamed over 14 million times in just 48 hours. That’s almost 5000 people watching per minute.
One person who is just as obsessed as the rest of us is Lipa’s boyfriend, the youngest Hadid sibling, Anwar. Following Lipa’s Grammys win for Best Pop Vocal Album and her performance on the night, Hadid decked out the couple’s Los Angeles home with balloons and a giant butterfly piñata in celebration.
“All the 🦋🦋🦋 in da world waiting 4 me 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺,” Lipa captioned a series of photos on Instagram, showing off Hadid’s decorating skills. “My angel boy @anwarspc.”
In the background, a Pikachu balloon, an animal balloon, and three letters reading “DUA” in bright pink can be seen, alongside the huge butterfly, which matched Lipa’s short, sparkly butterfly encrusted party dress.
Though Hadid skipped the Grammys, the couple celebrated Valentine’s Day together in Palm Springs last month. “THE ONE 4 MY❤️ Happy V-Day Lovers xx,” Lipa captioned two photos of the pair, while Hadid wrote, “My valentine❤️ thankful for ya girl wonder.”
After reportedly meeting through Lipa’s friendship with Hadid’s older sisters, Gigi and Bella, the couple started dating in June 2019. Lipa was in a five-year relationship with British chef Isaac Carew until earlier that year, while Hadid dated Nicole Peltz, who is now engaged to Brooklyn Beckham.
