May 13, 2021: There’s nothing quite like indulging in a celebrity makeup tutorial. Today, actress Dove Cameron shared her 16-step makeup routine, documenting her secrets to achieving glowy, dewy skin for British Vogue. The 25-year-old swears by high-end products to get the look, best described as the perfect “effortless” makeup one would want to wear day and night.
Cameron raves about NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, which she calls “the holy grail for all dewy looks.” To apply the product, she dampens her Beauty Blender with face mist (“This is like, the combo,” she tells the camera while pressing the sponge into her skin). She completes her complexion routine by spot concealing with Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer and then setting it all with a pressed powder from Jouer. “If you can still see your skin, you’re winning,” the actress concludes.
If you’re thinking, “Wait, pressed powder to achieve a dewy skin look? Isn’t that rather counterproductive?” then you need to press “play” on the video below. Cameron cleverly applies the powder using the same damp Beauty Blender she used to put on her tinted moisturizer. This method keeps her skin looking dewy and radiant, simultaneously working as is a preemptive measure for later on in the day, when she may cross over from dewy to oily.
Next up is brows. Cameron uses grey (yep!) Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo to shape and fill them. “I have it in my mind that dewy skin and a thick, juicy brow are linked—and tonight, they are.” She completes the look with white liquid eyeliner, Gucci Mascara L’Obscur, an Armani lip liner for definition, and finally, a dab of Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss in the shade Aphrodite. The latter seafoam blue gloss looks like a pinky-purple shade going on, but its finish looks clear, giving her pout the perfect amount of shine.
The verdict? Cameron’s routine is the ultimate combination of laid-back and glam. Shop some of her makeup must-haves, ahead.
