A few weeks back, Trump’s former righthand woman, Kellyanne Conway, resigned from her job as counselor to US President Donald Trump seemingly out of nowhere and on the eve of the Republican National Convention which she had been placed to speak at. Her husband, George Conway, a conservative lawyer and outspoken critic of the president, quit his job at the Lincoln Project on the same day, prompting many to assume the couple’s progressive 15-year-old daughter, Claudia, had a part to play.

In the days leading up to the Conways’ surprise resignations, Claudia had been gaining a lot of momentum on TikTok, posting support for Democratic politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and tweeting that she was “officially pushing for emancipation” from her parents. But that’s not all: fast-forward six-weeks and people are now calling the teenager the whistleblower of her generation after she revealed on TikTok that her mum had tested positive for COVID and started sharing insider information on the president’s COVID recovery and health.

@claudiamconway

Claudia’s update on her family’s health – she announced shortly afterwards that she, too, has COVID – makes Kellyanne Conway one of several people who contracted the virus after attending a Rose Garden ceremony acknowledging the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett for the Supreme Court. Both the President and the First Lady, as well as at least four others also tested positive afterwards.

As the White House and Trump’s doctors continue to provide conflicting reports about his condition and Trump himself continues to tweet that he’s doing well and “not to let the disease dominate your life” – which is frankly an insane thing to say when over 200,000 Americans have died from COVID so far – Claudia has taken it upon herself to share what she thinks is really going on.

“Guys lmao he’s not doing ‘better’,” and “he is so ridiculous,” she wrote on TikTok last night. “Apparently, he is doing badly lol and they are doing what they can to stabilize him,” she continued.

Claudia also posted videos showing her mother trying to monitor what she says on TikTok and clips of the two arguing, before Kellyanne took to Twitter to say that her daughter loves “speculating.”

Who would’ve thought that the world would be hanging off every word from a teenage TikTok star when it comes to incredibly important political information? Seems very on brand for 2020.
