Dior Exhibition Brooklyn Museum

Last night the heritage of Dior was celebrated with a beautiful exhibition cocktail event for the opening of the Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum. Curator extraordinaire Florence Müller worked alongside Matthew Yokobosky to reinvent the successful Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams at Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, through their own eyes.

The exhibition brings to life a retrospective paying homage to the luxury French fashion house’s visionary artistic directors over the decades. Guests journeyed through the amazing creations in history over the eras from Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and Maria Grazia Chiuri.

The star-studded guest list included Yara Shahidi, Lorde, Bernard Arnault, KAWS, Derek Blasberg, Jeffrey Deitch, Jason Bolden, Frédéric Fekkai, TK Quann, Kacey Musgraves, Jordan Alexander, AnnaSophia Robb, Swizz Beatz, ASAP Ferg, Victor Cruz, Nicholas Braun, Olivia Holt, Thomas Doherty, Eli Brown, James Turlington, Leyna Bloom, Olivia Palermo and many more — and naturally they all wore head to toe Dior.

As you wind through the dimly lit exhibition, an enthusiastic Maria Grazia Chiuri was spotted, admiring and greeting guests as they gazed over the several silhouettes featured on display. The exhibition presented a new and immersive scenographic narrative that completely transforms the museum’s magnificent Beaux-Arts Court. Following the Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition guests took to the site’s atrium lobby for a lovely cocktail soiree where celebratory bottles of Moët were flowing, and guests mingled and captured memories until the bar and exhibition closed for the night.

Ahead, relive the magical night through images. Make sure to get tickets while you can and experience the gem exhibition for yourself. Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams will be open to the public from September 10, 2021 to February 20, 2022.
