Cate Blanchett is flexing her sartorial prowess while promoting her latest film, Tár. With the help of her longtime stylist Elizabeth Stewart, the Academy Award-winning actress is reminding everyone why she always lands on best dressed lists time and time again.
She’s been choosing a variety of sleek looks from Proenza Schouler and Giorgio Armani, and brought some color with her vintage Joanie Char find and Alberta Ferretti jumpsuit as she made her way around New York City on her press tour. On one day alone, she had four standout style moments when she stopped by Good Morning America and the New York Film Festival.
Blanchett has been receiving widespread acclaim for her performance in Tár, where she portrays a critically renowned composer and conductor, days away from recording her landmark symphony. The psychological drama is directed by Todd Field and was written especially for Blanchett. It debuted at the Venice Film Festival and hits theaters on Oct. 7.

Proenza Schouler
Reminiscent of the navy Esteban Cortázar gown she has worn on multiple occasions, Blanchett stepped out in a navy Proenza Schouler top with billowing sleeves with white trim and matching navy bell-bottom pants at the New York Film Festival. She also switched up her ‘do by sporting a set of face-framing bangs.
Vintage Joanie Char
Blanchett exited the Good Morning America studios in a cerulean belted vintage midi shirtdress by Chinese, California-based designer Joanie Char, sourced from JennieGirl’s Closet vintage platform. The Oscar-winner teamed her look with crimson Tamara Mellon patent leather Trinity High-Heel Knee-High boots.
Giorgio Armani
Arriving at Good Morning America studios, Blanchett sported a silver and black diagonally striped Giorgio Armani jumpsuit. She teamed it with black leather Aquazzura boots, a black trench coat and oversize sunglasses.
Alberta Ferretti
During her busy day in the city, Blanchett spoke at a screening at the New York Film Festival in a bright orange Alberta Ferretti jumpsuit with front pocket details from the Resort 2023 collection.
