If there’s one thing Grammy award-winning artist Cardi B is familiar with, it’s big haters. The reality TV star turned rap mogul was a “buzzer-beater” addition to DJ Khaled’s twelfth studio album, Khaled Khaled. The star-studded, 14-track LP features a massive string of impressive guests, including Jay-Z, Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, Nas, Drake, Post Malone, 21 Savage, Justin Timberlake, Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, Lil Baby, DaBaby, Migos, H.E.R., Roddy Ricch, and Puff Daddy. On Thursday, April 29, one day before Khaled’s album was set to drop, he alerted his fans about the updated 14-song tracklist, including “Big Paper,” his song featuring Cardi, in the third slot. “CARDI B VOCALS IS IN!! ALBUM 101% DONE!!!!” he exclaimed on his Twitter.

Shortly after the announcement, the 28-year-old explained how she’d written her verse in only two days. Popular gossip Instagram blog, The Shaderoom, posted the video explanation and followers of the social media page replied with snarky comments. One user commenting on the quick verse turnaround with “we could tell she wrote this one.” But if it’s one thing we know about Cardi B, she is well-versed in holding her own on the Internet. She took to Twitter, of course, to respond plus drop a bar from the new song. “That always happens on all the blog comments. It could be music, fashion, my [Instagram] lives, it don’t matter. It’s bandwagon hate in the comments by now. But guess what? Cardi this, Cardi that, make me more famous.” The artists also made sure to retweet and respond to the many fans who appreciated to the new release.

The ”Bodak Yellow” rapper is accustomed to the controversy surrounding her latest releases. In August, Cardi teamed up with Houston Hottie, Megan Thee Stallion, creating the hit song W.A.P. Many conservative representatives were up in arms about the duo’s raunchy lyrics. Cardi stood her ground then too responding to an opposing tweet saying “This gets me so mad ya don’t even know! I think we have all been on the edge this week since we seen police brutality back to back including watching one of the biggest case in history go down DUE to police brutality but wait! This is what state representatives decide to talk about.”

So clearly, Cardi was rapping facts when she said: “Big paper so I deal with big haters.” Get into the song for yourself below.
