Cardi B has taken to social media today to announce the safe arrival of her second child – a baby boy. On Instagram, the rapper could be seen swaddling the newborn with Offset by her side, and of course she was wrapped in a Louis Vuitton blanket.
“9/4/21🦕💙🧸,” she captioned the image. The baby’s name is not yet known.
“We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son,” the couple wrote in a statement shared with USA TODAY. “He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can’t wait to introduce him to his other siblings.”
The “WAP” artist kept relatively quiet about her pregnancy until she appeared on stage with Offset and Migos at the BET Awards. In a fitting announcement for the 28-year-old, she wore a diamanté-encrusted body suit which featured a sheer panel across her baby bump.
Cardi B later took to Instagram to share an extravagant photoshoot with her first daughter Kulture Kiari, 3, caressing her bump.
“I just know these two will love each other soo much and argue soo much since they’re 3 years apart…just like me and (sister) Henny . But one thing for sure is they’ll have each other’s back like no one else ever will,” she wrote at the time.
It comes after Cardi B called off her divorce to Offset after three years of marriage in October 2020. On Instagram Live, Cardi said, “It’s hard not to talk to your best friend. It’s really hard not to talk to your best friend. And it’s really hard to have no dick.”
Celebrity baby fever is well and truly upon us. Not only did Scarlett Johansson and Halsey give birth last month, both Kylie Jenner and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley announced their own pregnancies in the past few weeks.
