You may have just recovered from the holiday chaos, but another is on the horizon and it’s never a bad idea to stay ahead of the game and prepare for the next one now. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and Victoria’s Secret is ringing in the season with a new assortment of lingerie and clothing in heart, floral and festive prints. The brand also launched a Valentine’s Day campaign starring Candice Huffine, among other top models. GRAZIA USA caught up with Huffine on all-things Valentine’s Day so you can get some inspiration and start planning for the holiday now.
Huffine fronts the lingerie-filled campaign alongside Bella Hadid, Adut Akech, Taylor Hill, Imaan Hammam, Devyn Garcia, Mayowa Nicholas, Jill Kortleve and Paloma Elsesser and said being on set was an “amazing experience.”
“I loved having the opportunity to meet and connect with so many incredible and distinct women within this campaign,” Huffine, 38, tells GRAZIA USA. “It’s inspiring to be amongst so many representations of beauty, confidence and sexiness. I feel proud to have been a part of Victoria’s Secret’s Valentine’s Day campaign, because it perfectly captures this message.”
She described the vibe on set as being “very warm and welcoming” so she got into work mode right away. “The team feel like one big family, and this makes for such a comfortable environment,” she shares. “What is equally just as exciting is that we’re creating a beautiful campaign along the way.”
Huffine modeled various looks in the campaign, including a pink lace set with garters and a black crystal-covered ensemble with sparkly elbow-length gloves, but deems the embroidered slips, like the Queen of Hearts Embroidered Slip, and PJs, like the Floral Satin Short Pajama Set, as her favorites, calling the pajamas, “so soft, beautiful and easy-to-wear.”
When it comes to her own traditions, Huffine is all about making others feel good. “I love expressing all my love and appreciation to the people in my life that mean so much to me, including my friends and family,” she says about the holiday. One of her most memorable Valentine’s Day was when she was single, and she and her roommate threw “a fabulous house party for our best girlfriends and danced till dawn and sang to the top of our lungs. It still remains one of my favorite ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day, smiling and laughing with the ones I love.”
This year, she plans on sending her love to friends and family “whether it’s a special note, favorite candy or a self-care treat, I know I’ll be showing people just how much I value them.”
