On Sunday, Le Defile L’Oreal Paris debuted their Womenswear Spring/Summer 2022 collection in a show with a message. The runway featured a rolodex of recognizable names, highlighting notable women who make an impact across their respective industries. The lineup included, but was not limited to Camila Cabello, Helen Mirren and Kat Graham, putting on a show that dazzled the city of lights and love.

Cabello posted to Instagram on Saturday before the show with the caption “enchanté,” announcing her arrival in Paris as she posed on a city sidewalk. For the runway, Cabello wore a flowy Grecian number which blew in the wind with grace and elegance. The garment featured a floral pattern and a train that added movement and flourish to the overall look.

With the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower framing the entire show, the show aimed to highlight women’s empowerment and safety. Aiming to fight against street harassment towards women, L’Oreal launched their “Stand Up Against Street Harassment” campaign in order to spread awareness around this issue and emphasize their key message: that women should be able to be safe in public.

“This year’s ‘Le Defile’ will be a remarkable platform for women’s empowerment, conveying a strong message of self-worth and disrupting the conventions of typical runway shows by inviting the public to join the Stand Up Against Street Harassment program,” Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, L’Oréal Paris’ global brand president, said in a statement. “Celebrating our feminine and feminist vision, the show will be a rallying cry for all women (and also men) who share these convictions.”

Behind Cabello were models wearing white t-shirts with the words “feminine and feminist” printed across the front, emphasizing that this show wasn’t only about advocacy and awareness but also about celebration and love for one’s self and those around us, from all walks of life.
