BUCI, the emerging New York City fashion label seen on the likes of Bella Hadid and Elsa Hosk, made its debut at New York Fashion Week on Thursday. The brand presented their Fall/Winter 2023 and Resort 2024 runway show, which encompassed both a romantic and sophisticated style.

The show, which took place at the Prospect Park Boathouse in Brooklyn, was inspired by snippets from a fall daydream. The show was accompanied by a live harp performance, which created a dreamy and ethereal atmosphere.

BUCI’s models walked down the runway at NYFW in flowing silk chiffon dresses, slinky gowns, and cozy knit sweaters, showcasing both diverse bodies — in terms of age, race, and body type — and diverse style silhouettes. The collection was a mix of classic and daring pieces, with something for everyone.

“At every crossroad we chose adjustability so that these garments would be fluid enough to stand the test of time,” the brand shared. “This collection was an exploration to find the balance between chic, comfortable and little provocative. Landing on our BUCI girl somewhere in the middle.”

One of the standout looks in their NYFW show was BUCI’s Metis Dress in Ivory — a fun, fitted white number that transformed from a tied-up mini dress to a flowing, sheer, 100% silk skirt. The dress is adjustable, tying at the waist for a shorter style and bustling at the back for a flowing fit. Both versatile and stylish, it is the perfect dress for a sophisticated evening.

In addition to the dresses, BUCI also showcased a variety of other pieces, including skirts, tops, and jackets. The collection was all about finding the balance between comfort and sensuality as the seasons change.

The show was a hit with the fashion crowd, with attendees comprising of a number of fashion influencers, including WeWoreWhat’s Danielle Bernstein.

BUCI’s Fall/Winter 2023 and Resort 2024 collections are now available to purchase, both of which launched on their site 24 hours after the NYFW runway show.
