Now that Britney Spears is officially free from the conservatorship of her father, she has been very transparent and very clear about who’s to blame, especially on Instagram, for enabling her years in surveillance. This isn’t the first time Britney has let loose, and it certainly won’t be the last. This time around, she’s making sure she’s translating her emotions clearly and concisely, explicitly stating that her family hurt her deeper than they’ll ever know, according to the singer.

“Don’t you find it weird when you jump through hoops to organize trips or set up lunch dates with people you love only to know they’ll bail on you or leave after 10 minutes 🙄 ???” Spears wrote on Instagram under a picture her beloved mini typewriter.

“OK I get it … they’re only available to me when it’s convenient for them … well I’m no longer available to any of them now 🙅🏼‍♀️ !!!” Spears went on to write. “I don’t mind being alone … and actually I’m tired of being this understanding Mother Teresa … if you’re rude to me then I’m done … peace out ✌🏼!!!”

This streak of vindication must be cathartic to to say the least, as Britney has had to be quiet and remain demure about her situation for so long, it’s no wonder this release of energy is happening on such a regular basis.

Frankly, it is important for her to share these things with her fans, the people who care for her most, as to the status of her well being and emotional state.

More importantly, it’s better for Britney to have the space to vent and feel safe and not judged doing so. The place for healing starts with catharsis, and since Britney’s entire life has been in the public eye, this feels fitting that this stage of her life is also tailored for us to see.

“I’m only 5’4″ and I’ve played the bigger person my entire life,” Britney finished off the caption. “Do you know how hard that is???”
