When a Hollywood couple breaks up, it’s inevitable that they’ll run into each other at some point. For Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt, one such moment happened recently at the SAG Awards, where the exes were famously pictured touching arms backstage. Meanwhile, Irina Shayk and Bradley Cooper, who ended their relationship of four years in June 2019, had their turn at an awkward run-in at the BAFTAs after-party in London on Sunday evening.

After the awards ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall, both the supermodel and actor-cum-director attended the same party, where they not only saw each other, they even posed for photos together.

Shayk, who recently opened up about the pair’s relationship breakdown in a rare interview, wore a sheer, Burberry netted dress with a cream bodysuit underneath and Tiffany & Co. diamonds, which, coincidentally, is the dictionary definition of the perfect outfit to run into your ex-boyfriend in:

Meanwhile, Cooper arrived in a full tuxedo to the same party. Also, quite a good outfit to see your ex-girlfriend in:

The friendly exes were even photographed together on the night for the first time since their split:

In the new issue of British Vogue, Shayk opened up about her private life, saying that since her split with Cooper, some days she wakes up and feels like she’s “falling apart.” She also admitted that life without Cooper is “new ground.”

“I think we’ve been very lucky to experience what we had with each other,” she said, adding, “I think in all good relationships you bring your best and your worst — it’s just the nature of a human being. Two great people don’t have to make a good couple.”

Cooper and Shayk co-parent their two-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine, from New York with Shayk saying she’s still finding her feet in terms of being a single mom. “It’s hard to find a balance between being a single mom and being a working woman and provider,” she said. “Trust me, there are days I wake up and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I don’t know what to do, I’m falling apart.’”
