It’s officially summer in the city which means you have the next few months to make the most of the warm weather. From fun happy hour excursions to trips out East, there’s plenty of fun in store. But one memorable experience you shouldn’t miss is a special dining series happening at the rooftop of The Ned NoMad hotel (because what says “summer fun” more than a rooftop hang?).

Throughout the month of June, the luxury New York City hotel is hosting a special dining experience dubbed, “Lemon: A Rooftop Culinary Experience Inspired by Krug.” It’s in celebration of Krug’s ongoing Single Ingredient program, Krug x Lemon. Every year, the French Champagne brand chooses one ingredient to highlight (in this case, it’s the lemon) and show the parallels to the care and commitment it takes to create the iconic Krug Champagne.

This year marks the first time a fruit was selected and acclaimed chef Brian VanderGast of The Ned NoMad is incorporating the ingredient in a five-course meal with lemon expertly incorporated into each dish — with pairings of Krug, of course.

The amuse-bouche (presented with Krug Grande Cuvée) sets the tone of the night with a potato mille-feuille with Kaluga caviar and Sorrento crème fraiche. Ease into the lemon-forward night with Long Island fluke crudo featuring Lisbon lemon, golden beet, cucumber, cherry and basil. Next, the ricotta stuffed squash blossom brings forward the Meyer lemon, along with Sungold tomato, charred onion, focaccia and sorrel.

The next course switches its pairing to Krug Rosé to best enjoy the pan-roasted lamb saddle, served with Sorrento lemon, fava beans, market peas, mint and preserved lemon jus. Finish off the night with a Sorento lemon cheesecake by pastry chef Sharon Vanegas with white chocolate crema, raspberry rosé filling and biscuit presented in a show stopping display of artistry with a perfect lemon recreated in dessert-form.

Hungry? (Us too.) To snag a reservation, visit OpenTable and book a spot through June 29.
