Well, it’s official – after teasing fans for some time, Billie Eilish has finally revealed the top-secret project that she has been working on for more than a year. Taking to her Instagram account, the singer announced the impending launch of her first fragrance, a perfume aptly titled ‘Eilish’.

“I am SO EXCITED to finally share my debut fragrance ‘Eilish’ with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! this is a scent that i’ve been chasing for years and years. This is my favorite smell in the WORLD,” the Happier Than Ever singer wrote, alongside an image from the scent’s upcoming campaign.

“Fragrance has always been such an enormous part of my life and existence since I can remember, and it was a dream to create this scent and bring my ideas to life,” she continued, adding, “This has been one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done. I can’t wait for it to be yours so soon!!!!!”

The gilded bottle takes the form of a classic female bodice, with the perfume housed inside said to be “a warm, cozy scent… with sugared petals, accented by juicy mandarin and red berries” in addition to “soft spices, rich cocoa, and creamy vanilla” with “warm musks, tonka bean, and sleek woods”, according to a press release.

Eilish revealed that launching her own perfume has always been on her bucket list. “Perfumes have been one of my greatest joys in life, and I’ve always wanted to make one,” she said in a new interview. “And not as Billie Eilish, not as an artist, not as a singer; I wanted to make a perfume to have a perfume. It has nothing to do with me, I’m just branding it so that people see it.”

This new move is particularly personal to Eilish, who is a synthesete – meaning she perceives multiple senses simultaneously, such as seeing color through scent. “I have synesthesia, so my favorite smells are these like, amber-colored smells, to me, in my brain,” she explained. “I have a really strong nose, and since I was like a little kid, smells are all I think about… I associate everything through my nose—like, for real.”

Rather than collaborate with an established beauty conglomerate like many other celebrities, the star decided to do her own thing and go direct-to-consumer for the vegan, cruelty-free scent. ‘Eilish’ the perfume will therefore launch exclusively (and globally!) on a new dedicated website next month.

Could this be the beginning of Billie Eilish, beauty mogul?

Duh!
