Billie Eilish is continuing her journey to make fashion a more sustainable place, one collab at a time!

The newly-minted Academy Award winner is releasing a new Nike Air Force 1 design with coordinating apparel collection, that has a sustainably-made focus.

Opting for environmentally conscious materials, Eilish’s version of the Air Force 1 is comprised of 18% post-consumer recycled content. With a synthetic nubuck upper portion, made of 80% recycled materials and 100% recycled polyester detailing, the iconic sneakers’ underfoot uses the brand’s Nike Grind, implementing innovative technology to craft high-performance products out recycled materials.

For apparel, Eilish infused her love of an oversized garment throughout the collection, with hoodies, sweatpants and a T-shirt awash in a natural, tan-colored palette, emblazoned with a silicone “Billie Eilish” motif. Implementing her sartorial signatures, Eilish still managed to preserve the brand’s distinct stylistic heritage.

“The challenge and opportunity with this collection was to respect the originals, but make them my own,” Eilish said in a press release. “It was also important for me to mix in environmentally preferred materials where we could and present them in a way that felt fresh.”

Eilish made a sustainable stance at the 2021 Met Gala, when she told the fashion house, Oscar de la Renta, that she would only wear the label on the condition that they eradicate the use of genuine fur throughout collections. Taking to Instagram at the time, Eilish wrote, “It was an honor to wear this dress knowing that going forward oscar de la renta will be completely fur-free!!!! i am beyond thrilled that  @fernandogarciam1205 and @tokibunbun and the entire team heard me on this issue, and have now made a change that makes an impact for the greater good, not only for animals but also for our planet and environment too. i’m honored to have been a catalyst and to have been heard on this matter. i urge all designers to do the same.”

Launching April 24 on store.billieeilish.com the Nike x Billie collection will be available globally on the Nike SNKRS app on April 25.
