At last, a trip to the Hampton’s doesn’t have to mean giving up on self-care and fitness routines. Here are a few of our favorites places for pilates, cycling, chiro and more, who are making the East end home for summer 2022.

Total Body Workout: Tracy Anderson

TA Sag Harbor

The OG of creating long, lean muscles, the Tracy Anderson Method has made a home out East for years, with locations in Watermill and East Hampton. This summer, a brand new 2,000-square-foot Tracy Anderson “Bayside” studio will debut in TA’s Hamptons hometown of Sag Harbor, conveniently located in the middle of town. The studio will feature Tracy’s tried-and-true method — which counts Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez and Tracee Ellis Ross as devotees — along with a new class debuting this summer, a retail shop, and outdoor patio.

Indoor Cycling: SoulCycle BARN

Soulcycle

Back for a 15th season, SoulCycle’s Bridgehampton location is a go-to destination for exercise lovers out East. Celebrity instructors including Stacey Griffith, Laurie Cole, Sam Y., and Mireya D’Angelo lead the heart-pounding cardio classes at the Butter Lane studio, where the front row is often filled with boldfaced riders such as Kelly Ripa, Brooke Shields, and Molly Simms. There are studios in East Hampton, Montauk, and Watermill but BARN is a special experience. Don’t forget to log in at noon on Mondays to book a bike before they sell out.

Chiro Care: Matthew Devoe

Chiropractor Matthew Devoe is heading back out East to help cater to clients “after a morning surf session, of course,” he says. With hundreds of patients from Meadow Lane to Montauk, Devoe is the chiropractor of choice for the influencer set. Danielle Bernstein, Melissa Wood Tepperberg, and Stephanie Gottlieb have all posted about Devoe’s techniques, which include 45-minute house visits that “focus less on traditional adjustments and more on muscle mobilization, stretching, fascial work, and lifestyle change,” he says.

Dance Cardio: DanceBody Hamptons

DanceBody

We’re calling it: 2022 will be the summer of dance cardio, thanks to classes popping up from Southampton to Montauk. One of our faves? DanceBody founder and CEO Katia Pryce’s roster of engaging instructors will be offering 60-minute Signature, Dance + Sculpt, and Sculpt classes starting on May 28 at their Hamptons pop-up. (You may already be familiar with the requisite moves thanks to the popular DB Live app.) The classes are available as private or semi-private in-home sessions and group classes for parties or events, as well.

Power Pilates: SLT Hamptons

SLT

Want a long, lean figure like Hailey Bieber or Shay Mitchell? (As if we need to ask.) Head to SLT Hamptons for the Megaformer pilates workout all summer long. Along with Bieber and Mitchell, SLT has a long list of star clients including Scarlett Johansson, Sofia Vergara, and James Franco. Once you get a taste of their so-bad-it’s-good burn and practically patented muscle shakes, you’ll be hooked for life as well. Check out their Hamptons locations in Southampton and East Hampton.
