Girl Power is alive and well. On December 6, Vanessa Hudgens hosted the MTV Movie & TV Awards: Greatest Of All Time paying tribute to some of pop culture’s greatest and most memorable moments from the 1980s until now. The 90-minute special was jam packed with nostalgia recognizing “GOATs” across several categories including Comedy Giant, Zero to Hero, Heartbreaking Break-Up and Dynamic Duo.
Before taking to the stage, the Spring Breakers actress gave us major Posh Spice vibes as she walked the red carpet in a simple strapless black mini dress by Versace and sleek, straight bob hairstyle. She accessorized with black Casadei heels, gold Versace choker and David Yurman bracelets. She even nailed the former Spice Girl’s signature hands on the hips pose and pouty face.
The Victoria Beckham tribute was just one of the several looks Hudgens rocked throughout the night, all styled by Jason Bolden. As she presented the Scream Queen awards to Jamie Lynn Curtis, she wore a white sleeveless dress which was quickly soaked in blood a la Carrie. She then changed into a black Christopher Kane number featuring a sleeveless cutout latex top and full shiny ballgown skirt.
Another standout look included a pink silk Tony Ward halter gown featuring a jewel-encrusted neckline, cutouts across the waist, mermaid-style skirt and matching opera length gloves. To close out the show, Hudgens went casual wearing a red leather bomber jacket, matching crop top, bootcut jeans and black Converse sneakers.
Hudgens was hardly the only celeb to bring her fashion A-Game to the awards show. Keeping with the throwback theme, Selma Blair re-wore the black embellished Marc Jacobs mini-dress she rocked to the 2009 Met Gala. To the delight of fans, the actress reunited with her Cruel Intentions co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar, who wore a Kiss sweatshirt, leather leggings and Sarah Flint pumps. The two ladies, who accepted the Legendary Lip Lock honor, even recreated their iconic kiss which they shared on-stage at the MTV Movie Awards in 2000 after they won best kiss.
Gal Gadot virtually attended the awards show wearing a retro-inspired Louis Vuitton Resort 2021 mini shift dress with a leather overlay. The Wonder Woman star who was named the Best She-Ro in film history accessorized with red Sergio Rossi pumps.
Normally sweet Lily Collins made jaws drop in an ultra sexy Saint Laurent latex bustier dress from the Fall 2020 collection. Saint Laurent ribbon strap heels, slicked back hair and neutral makeup completed the Emily In Paris star’s edgy look.
Descendants actress Sofia Carson had a modern Cinderella moment wearing a black, semi-sheer Valentino Resort 2021 embellished ballgown teamed with Kallati Jewelry earrings and Jimmy Choo black pumps.
Scream star Neve Campbell shone in a gold satin blouse top and matching sequin pencil skirt from stylist-designer Jason Rembert’s Aliétte Fall 2020 collection. Strappy black and gold sandals finished the ensemble.
