After dominating the runways during fashion month, and providing us all with an ample amount of street style inspiration, Bella Hadid also never fails to turn heads whenever she steps onto a red carpet. On Monday evening, Hadid attended the 16th annual Golden Heart Awards at The Glasshouse in New York City, hosted by the non-profit food distribution organization God’s Love We Deliver. The model channeled the dazzling era of Old Hollywood for the occasion, wearing a glittering champagne-colored Michael Kors Collection long-sleeve dress with a plunging neckline.
Hadid teamed her look with strappy gold high heel sandals and chandelier earrings. The 26-year-old kept her glam soft and dewy, with a subtle luminescent glow, and pulled her hair into a sleek bun.
Hadid walked the carpet with Michael Kors and was joined by her mother Yolanda and her art director boyfriend, Marc Kalman.
The evening kicked off with a cocktail hour, sponsored by Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle, and included a special performance from the lead of Broadway’s Funny Girl, Lea Michele.
Huma Abedin was presented with the Golden Heart award for outstanding leadership, Jessica Alba was granted the Michael Kors award for outstanding philanthropy, God’s Love We Deliver President and CEO Karen Pearl was given the lifetime achievement award, and Bella Hadid was honored with the Golden Heart Award for mental health advocacy.
Hadid has been open with her mental health struggles and how it can interact with her Lyme disease diagnosis, sharing candid posts on social media and speaking bluntly in interviews about the subject.
Former honoree Billy Porter hosted the event, while Kors, actress Freida Pinto, and model Paloma Elsesser all made remarks. The occasion raised over $3 million for God’s Love We Deliver, which is the leading provider in N.Y.C. of medically tailored meals for individuals living with severe illness. It will fund more than 300,000 meals for the organization’s clients.
In addition, Kors will also be amplifying the mission of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) through the 2022 Watch Hunger Stop campaign. The brand created a special-edition black LOVE tote and a canvas FOOD IS LOVE pouch, in collaboration with multi-media artist NYSOMETIMES with all profits beneficing the initiative. Princess Diana’s nieces Ladies Amelia Spencer and Lady Eliza Spencer, along with Olivia Culpo, all serve as ambassadors for Watch Hunger Stop.
“NYSOMETIMES captured the message of Watch Hunger Stop beautifully,” said Kors in a release. “We’re all connected more than ever, but we still need a reminder that love makes the world go round.”
