Ariana Grande's Wedding

May 27, 2021: Vera Wang is always top of mind when it comes to elegant bridal gowns, so naturally, Ariana Grande chose the American designer to design the dress for her special day. The 27-year-old singer tied the knot with 25-year-old real estate agent beau Dalton Gomez on Saturday, May 15. The two hosted a private ceremony with close friends at her peaceful home in Montecito, California.

Photos weren’t released immediately, so we assumed the newlyweds were waiting for their wedding photos to come back. And yesterday, that’s what happened. Grande took to Instagram to share the breathtaking images from their nuptials, captioned the series of heartfelt posts with “5.15.21” followed by a white heart. Naturally, fans went wild on social media—and I am shamelessly among them.

For her wedding day, Grande wore a custom lily-white silk charmeuse strapless empire waist column gown accented by a sculpted neckline. For hair, she opted for her distinctive signature half-up ponytail hairstyle brought to life by Josh Liu. The hairstylist adorned her strands with a lily-white tulle shoulder-length hand-pleated bubble veil with a satin bow accent. She teamed the gown with Giuseppe Zanotti heels and accessorized with jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz, the designer behind her jaw-dropping engagement ring. Grande’s dress exuded timeless elegance, à la Audrey Hepburn.

As designer Wang revealed in an interview, her look was, in fact, inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s iconic character, Jo Stockton, in the 50s musical Funny Face. The designer also added that they decided to work together for Grande’s special day when they first met at the MET Gala a few years ago. How’s that for planning in advance?

Grande and Gomez initially started dating in January of 2020. And naturally, with the gradual onset of the coronavirus pandemic, in March, the two took their relationship to the next level. The couple made their first appearance in Grande’s music video “Stuck with You” and gleefully announced their engagement in December. The talented singer proclaimed in her hit song “Thank U, Next” that she “Only wanna do it once, real bad” and we couldn’t agree more. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness and forever love to the darling newlyweds.
