In a totally random, but oh-so-chic side hustle, the Oscar-winning actor recently launched the Anthony Hopkins, AH Eau de Parfum and Home Fragrance Candle and Diffuser Collection, in partnership with Margam Fine Art and Twila True Collaborations.
This uniquely personal brand is said to be inspired by the 83-year-old’s art, music, and the magic of cinema.
“This is a timeless, elegant collection; scents have a memory, it’s the illusionary dreamlike quality of life that has inspired me,” The Silence Of The Lambs star said ahead of the launch. “It’s an incredible opportunity to connect with an audience in an entirely different way, creating a symbiotic relationship between fragrance and art allows me to paint a scent.”

The luxurious creations are described as a “mystical alchemy that awakens a sense of harmony.” The pièce de résistance, AH Eau de Parfum is a gender-neutral, classically bottled fragrance, featuring notes of bergamot, orange blossom and musk.
The Home Fragrance Candle and Diffuser Collection includes three unique scents: breezy Gardenia Tuberose, opulent Sandalwood, and seductive Amber Noir. Haute couture minimalist packaging design is beautifully juxtaposed with Hopkins’ vibrant artwork.

With ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, the actor also decided to use this creative endeavor as a way to give back. Hopkins has partnered with No Kid Hungry, a national campaign dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America. Every purchase within the collection can provide up to 50 meals to kids.
Hopkins tells PEOPLE that the concept “started while I was in quarantine and realizing we’re in a huge world crisis — many people are going hungry. I don’t know why fragrances came to mind, but I did it to send a ripple across the lake of our woes and misfortunes for a moment and to bring some relief into this strange world we’re now living in.”
