Fully embracing the utter chaos that is And Just Like That, costume designers Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago really had a field day with episode eight Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered. As Carrie struggles with her waning cool-factor after a chic young artist moves in downstairs, Miranda opens herself up to a whole new beginning, and Charlotte struggles with her prude-leaning mentality. Episode eight sees some of the best sartorial references, the most nostalgic and exciting fashion easter eggs, some of the most confused and hectic ensembles we’ve ever seen and a whole bunch of unexpected full frontal nudity.

Here, GRAZIA places a spotlight on the best fashion moments of episode 8 of And Just Like That.

When Miranda attends a rally in support of the LGBT+ community hosted her new love interest and Carrie’s boss Che Diaz, she quickly skulks away after spotting her son Brady in attendance. Donning an Official Rebrand “Angels Have No Gender But Lots of Sex” cowl neck sweatshirt and Rick Owens drop-crotch zipper drawstring trousers, Che pairs her monochromatic black ensemble with Rick Owens DRKSHW lug-soled combat boots.

Advising Seema to enter at her own risk, Carries gives her new friend a tour through her incredibly impressive fashion archives, donning what could have been just your average I Love Central Park tourist crewneck sweatshirt. However, in typical Carrie fashion, our style icon cut the neckline into a boatneck and tied the waist into a bow in the back, expelling the shabby and keeping the chic. Pairing the sweatshirt with a silky cerulean floral midi skirt, the mini tour has the two fashionable ladies recalling the days of Barney’s warehouse sale. Carrie recalls, “I almost got into a knife fight with a woman over a Bottega cashmere wrap coat,” while Seema counters, “That was you?”

Filled with sartorial easter eggs from Sex And The City, Carrie’s holds her “Heidi” dirndl dress from the original series as we get a nostalgic glimpse into her closet. Pulling out her “pride and joy” Versace Couture Mille Feuille tiered gown from the final episode of SATC, Seema excitedly asks “What the f*** am I looking at?!” Explaining that she’d only ever worn the show-stopping gown twice, Seema expresses her hysterically sarcastic expectations that the gown be left to her in Carrie’s will.

While trying to remain “chill” and “hip,” Carries stylish new neighbor keeps her up half the night with rapturous laughter and the raised voices of her friends gathering on the front stoop. Doing her best not to be the grump ‘old lady,’ Carrie finally breaks and yells at them to keep it down in her floral embroidered denim house dress over a long sleeve white cotton t-shirt.

After Lily inadvertently walks in on a private moment between her parents Charlotte and Harry, our favorite trio takes a trip to Chelsea Market to discus their individual predicaments. Dressed in a quintessentially Charlotte ensemble, her pale pink Tibi cropped cashmere sweater is perfectly complimented by her Eliza Christopha “Njeri” hot pink printed pleated skirt. With her Chanel lambskin pearl strapped cross-body clutch and Alexandre Vauthier “Elsa” pumps, the look appears to be exactly something Charlotte would have worn back in Sex And The City.

With Miranda confiding in the girls that she’s going to ask Steve for a divorce, the three bounce between that and Charlotte’s sex life. While Miranda rocks a black blouse and camel-colored twist tie trousers, Carrie is a vision in a royal blue vintage ’70s Oscar de la Renta tiered floral silk chiffon maxi dress, Celine “Melody” pumps and a Paco Rabanne “Pixel” shoulder tote.

While sitting down for a mommy-daughter lunch at Boucherie so that Charlotte can explain that she wants Lily to feel comfortable around the topic of sexuality, Mrs. York Goldenblatt dons a lilac chiffon blouse and a black floral a-line skirt. Before snooping through Lily’s phone to find an actually quite wholesome thirst trap on her daughter’s finsta account, Lily dons a peach and maroon short sleeved Chanel cardigan with her plaid skirt as she flees the table.

Running to Carrie’s house after a fight with her mother to continue her archival commitments, Lily sports Carrie’s iconic poncho from Sex and The City‘s season two, episode four The Shoot Single People, Don’t They? where Carrie rocks the knit before her “Single & Fabulous?” New York magazine cover.

Out on her daily cigarette break, Carrie donned a pink and white Batsheva “Snap” house dress, unbuckled white Mary-Jane heels, a navy zip-up hoodie, handkerchief, pink dish gloves, and Jimmy Choo “Jezebel” sunglasses to protect herself from the tempting smell of tobacco and nicotine.

With another convenient run-in with her cool new downstairs neighbor Lisette (who is not a hooker or Russian), the Californian, super-chic, hip, successful jewelry designer hops down the steps in a turquoise bralette, fuchsia panties, a fully sheer floral kaftan and rust-colored quilted boots by Off-White.

Previously feeling pretty insecure about her waning cool-factor, Carrie closes out the night hanging out with her “pride and joy” as she has done before- sitting in the window in her prized couture gown eating a “whole thing of Jiffy Pop.” I’d imagine nothing makes you feel quite as cool as bespoke Versace.
