Amanda Seyfried stepped out on Thursday night to fête New York Fashion Week in style. The actress hosted an intimate evening with Saks Fifth Avenue at the store’s L’Avenue at Saks restaurant to celebrate the start of NYFW. Seyfried sported a geometric-print gold Oscar de la Renta velvet suit for the occasion, which also gathered Lourdes Leon, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Christopher John Rogers and more in attendance.
The Academy Award-nominated actress gave the suit a sexy spin by ditching a shirt and exposing her chic black bra beneath. Pairing her ensemble with simple black pumps and a mauve velvet bucket bag, the Mean Girls alum gracefully styled her hair into a low pony.
While taking a page out of her professional playbook, Seyfried‘s suit evokes a bit of her most recent on-screen character, Elizabeth Holmes’ business attire. The Theranos CEO was known for her uniformed look comprising of black turtlenecks and black trousers, which many speculated was a nod to Steve Jobs’ affinity for turtlenecks. For Seyfried’s night out though, she turned up the glam giving her standard suiting a ’70s flair.
The actress portrays the notorious Holmes in the Hulu Original series The Dropout, available to stream March 3.
