LVMH 2021 Prizes Jury

Just this morning, the 2021 prestigious LVMH Prize has officially announced their highly anticipated jury via Instagram, just in time for the nine finalists to head to the Louis Vuitton Foundation on September 7. This year marks the return to an in-person format after last year’s prize was shown in a virtual showroom due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This year’s LVMH Prize brings back last year’s star-studded panel with one exciting new name to the mix. Kim Jones, artistic director of women’s collections at Fendi will be joining Virgil Abloah; Jonathan Anderson; Maria Grazia Chiuri; Marc Jacobs and Stella McCartney, as well as Delphine Arnault; Sidney Toledano, chairman and CEO of LVMH Fashion Group; and Jean-Paul Claverie, an adviser to LVMH chief Bernard Arnault on thejury of fashion experts.

The nine finalists hailed from around the world, including three American designers, create one of LVMH’s most diverse classes. Bianca Saunders, Charles de Vilmorin, Christopher John Rogers, Conner Ives, Colm Dillane, Kika Vargas, Lukhanyo Mdingi, Nensi Dojaka, and Rui Zhou will all have the chance to present their collection in front of the major industry players next month.

The jury will come together to select the winners of the LVMH Prize and choose one winner of the Karl Lagerfeld/Special Jury Prize during the final at the Louis Vuitton Foundation.⁣⁠ Although in-person, digital native isn’t entirely dead for this year’s prizes.
