Everyone knows that NYC does Halloween big, like nobody else (I mean there were a hundred different halloween celebrations throughout the week, leading up until Halloween itself) but THE Halloween hot ticket this year was the return of the Boom Boom Halloween party, at The Standard, High Line. It was a night of total decadence, as guest took elevators—complete with a video montage from Stanley Kubrick’s iconic thriller “The Shinning”—up to the top floor, and were greeted by dimmed lights with splashes of pink and purple. To simply sum up the party in a few words; Studio 54 reincarnated. Supermodels—like Anok Yai and Duckie thot—check! A host of fashions’ glitterati—from LaQuan Smith, Prabal Gurung, and Emily Adams Bode—check! Performances by legendary house legends Robin S. and CeCe Peniston—check! Throw in tons of beautiful people, champagne flowing, attendance by pop cultural figures like Gossip Girl’s Whitney Peak, Ziwe, Ava Max and even an appearance from our Lorde and savior, Lorde, and you have the makings of an iconic soiree. See, Studio 54!

Aside from the bumping music—courtesy of DJ, Mazurbate—VIPS, and the New York skyline as the backdrop, the costumes (as this was a Halloween celebration after-all), truly delivered; From Barbies, Princess Di’s and Harley Quinns, to disco divas, Tyra Banks and even a life-size centipede. Guest partied to the break to dawn, as the sounds of Donna Summer, Madonna, and the yeah yeah yeahs—because what’s a Halloween without “Heads Will Roll”?—transported them away. We suggest planning out your 2022 Halloween costume out now, in anticipation of next year’s iteration. Trust us, you’ll want to be there.
