Syrian designer Rami Al Ali is known for his ultra-feminine gowns and bridal dresses. Being based in Dubai since 2001, Al Ali’s prestigious pieces became well-known all throughout the UAE. We can’t list prominent Arab designers without mentioning the half-Greek and half-Jordanian sister duo behind Nafsika Skourti. Their mission statement is to “make valuable things that contribute to a positive collective future.” Skourti’s glamorous and cleverly crafted collections aided her in gaining international recognition in major global fashion publications.

TALLER MARMO

Founded in 2013 by Italian and Argentinian duo Riccardo Audisio and Yago Goicoechea, Taller Marmo combines European elegance with Middle Eastern charm. The founding friends created a label that has modern quality and craftsmanship. In an interview with Forbes, Audisio specifies that their customer is “a woman that looks for something to makes her feel fabulous and chic for a special occasion.” Queen Rania, Lily Collins, and many other notable figures have been seen wearing Taller Marmo’s luxurious designs.

Bazza Alzouman was established in 2014 in Kuwait, to produce luxury gowns for modern women. Georges Hobeika is well-known as one of the leading designers in the Middle East, further solidifying his status recently when he presented his SS23 collection during Paris Haute Couture Week. ZUHAIR MURAD

Zuhair Murad, a Beirut-based Lebanese designer, is considered to be one of the most prominent Arab designers of the 21st century. Murad started off as a curious young boy pursuing his hobby of sketching. MARMAR HALIM

Marmar Halim’s elegant and timeless collections include bridal and evening gowns, ready-to-wear and high-end kaftans. In 2019, Halim opened her showroom in Dubai and launched her bridal collection in South Korea, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands. The Egyptian designer uses delicate fabrics such as charmeuse and silk to reflect her intricate designs, which caught the attention of celebrities such as Huda Kattan and Halle Bailey.

RAMI KADI

Lebanese-American designer Rami Kadi started off designing couture dresses in his atelier in Beirut. Today, his designs have been featured in multiple fashion magazines and have even been spotted by many public figures such as Kendall Jenner. His SS20 collection featured a dress made from recycled plastics, which gave Kadi the title of being the first Middle Eastern designer to hold a cyber-fashion show that highlights environmental issues.

KRIKOR JABOTIAN

At the age of 23, Krikor Jabotian was handpicked by the Starch Foundation to showcase his own line and set up his own atelier after working in the creative department for renowned Lebanese designer Elie Saab. Today, Jabotian is well-known for his creative imagination and dreamy gowns. He tells Arab News, “I’ve always been driven by the classical period and the Renaissance is the rebirth of the classical world.”
