Beyond the bride in a custom-made Valentino gown, the one look everyone was waiting to see from Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s wedding was from the mother of the groom, Victoria Beckham.
Keeping us waiting almost a full 24 hours – the designer and former Spice Girl knows our full attention needed to be on the happy couple and their stunning official photos until this point – finally, Beckham revealed what she wore to see her eldest son marry.
Keeping to her signature style and her love of the perfect slip dress (but with an added flare to mark the occasion), Beckham donned a metallic slip dress by her own eponymous label.
The floor-length design was developed exclusively by one of Beckham’s favourite Como mills, reports British Vogue, with the resulting effect a metallic, almost liquid-like fabric that wouldn’t be amiss on one Miss Kimberly Kardashian. Elevating the dress even further are the floral lace embellishments sewn at the top. To complete her look, Beckham wore a pair of silver strappy heels seen poking out the bottom of her dress and wore her hair pulled back into an elegant bun.
Posting two photos of herself and her husband, David, wearing Dior, to Instagram Beckham wrote, “Proud mum and dad 💒💕✨ congratulations Mr & Mrs Beckham.”
Following the wedding ceremony, Beckham posted another photo of the newlyweds, “Congratulations Mr and Mrs Beckham X,” before writing to her new daughter-in-law specifically, Welcome to the family💕💕💕💕 x.”
Beckham and Peltz wed over the weekend in a reported $5 million three-day wedding held at Peltz’ family’s $130 million oceanfront home in Palm Beach, Florida. The groom had earlier revealed that he was taking his wife’s surname as his middle name to signify their union.
The star-studded guest list included Serena Williams, Gigi Hadid, Mark Anthony and his girlfriend Nadia Ferreria, the mother-of-the-groom’s ex-Spice Girls bandmates, Mel B and Melanie Chisholm, and Eva Longoria, who also wore a sleek Victoria Beckham evening gown.
As for VB’s dress for future wedding invites? It’ll be available to purchase come June.
