Exploring the region’s savoir-faire, the high jewellery maison, Van Cleef & Arpels, has collaborated with Emirati artist Fatima Alketbi for Ramadan 2024.

Intermixing heritage with contemporary philosophies, Fatima has blazed a trail in graphic design and calligraphy work. Through challenging the boundaries of design disciplines, she formulates her own style of rebellious yet understated artistry in each collection.

And just ahead of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Van Cleef & Arpels and Fatima release a series of calligraphic Arabic art pieces that emulate the Ramadan spirit. Drawing on traditional Emirati motifs and customs, each piece is made with untraditional unique materials.

Leaving us with moving art that steers a story of divine essence and innovation, Van Cleef explores the world of Emirati heritage through Fatima’s craftsmanship.

And it doesn’t stop there. The newest edition of Van Cleef & Arpels institution is also set to make its region’s debut in Dubai. To be located in D3, L’ÉCOLE Middle East is the first educational facility for fine jewellery and watchmaking. Offering over 14 adult classes, the launch of this academy is yet another testament to the magnetic capabilities for creative talent and artistry the Arab region is becoming.
