It’s time to end 2023 with a bang, from the renowned Burj Khalifa fireworks to beachfront fireworks. There are so many different locations to take in the New Year vibes and watch magical fireworks displays. Here, GRAZIA tells you the very best places to watch the spectacular fireworks displays across the emirates to ring in 2024.

Dubai

Arguably one of the most spectacular fireworks show in the world, the Burj Khalifa has to be number one on GRAZIA’s list. The annual New Year’s Eve fireworks show at the world’s tallest structure, the Burj Khalifa, is the most-watched event in Dubai every New Year. This year, it will be the biggest yet for the Burj Khalifa’s New Year’s Eve display, featuring 15,682 pyrotechnic pieces and 325 strategic shooting points.

Atlantis, The Palm

The lavish year-end celebrations held at the Palm Jumeirah resort are not to be missed. Usually, a big-name performer accompanies the fireworks show and this year, the performer is 17-time Grammy winner Sting. There are options available for guests to select from, ranging from Dh7,000 for a Premium Circle position to Dh12,500 for the Golden Circle, which includes dishes containing white truffles and a personalized caviar box.

Burj Al Arab

One of the most famous landmarks and tourist attractions in Dubai, famous for its ‘seven-star’ status, will host an annual fireworks display this year. That’s not all. The weather will be beautiful as you enjoy the show from the beachfront.

Al Seef

Head to Al Seef, the historic neighbourhood in Dubai, situated by Dubai Creek’s historic waters, to admire breathtaking vistas of the fireworks from the district’s waterfront eateries. Including Skafos, which specializes in Italian, Spanish and Greek cuisine. As well as ILA, which serves up freshly prepared Arabic food.

Bluewaters

A sky show is scheduled for December 31 at Bluewaters. There are many restaurants and hangout spots on the island (the perfect NYE plan). Not interested in making a reservation? To see the display, you can stroll around the vicinity.

Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi hotel’s annual fireworks extravaganza tops off a jam-packed entertainment schedule on New Year’s Eve. The year-end celebration will feature DJ sets, live music and other acts starting at 10pm.

Yas Island

Yas Island will have two fireworks displays, which start at 9pm and 12am. There are a few dining options along the promenade, making Yas Marina and Yas Bay excellent locations to see the show.

Sheikh Zayed Festival

To welcome the New Year, the festival in Al Wathba is holding a 40-minute fireworks show to break a Guinness World Record of size and formation. On the ground, cultural performances will complement the celebrations.

Ras Al Khaimah

DJs and artists, such as Rach by April, Fahmil Khan and DJ Alena, along with food trucks and more, will make a New Year’s Eve at RAK unforgettable on Sunday, December 31, from 2 pm to 1 am. A truly amazing New Year’s celebration, #RAKNYE2023 will feature pyro drones, nano lights, colors and forms synchronized to electric beats and fireworks lighting up the sky. Across a 4.7km section of the coastline between Al Hamra Village and Al Marjan Island, guests will be enthralled by an incredible pyro-musical performance that is sure to shatter records.
