With just under two weeks left until the Holy Month of Ramadan ends, residents of the UAE can expect an exciting long weekend ahead in celebration of Eid Al Fitr 2025.
As we approach the festivities, the UAE has steadily been revealing the first long public holiday of 2025, which aligns with Eid Al Fitr.
It was previously confirmed that employees will have approximately three working days off for Eid, while an additional day will be implemented if Ramadan totals 30 days, which has been announced fall on March 30, 2025
While the exact dates are still subject to the moon’s sightings, the Federal Authority For Government Human Resources has recently revealed that the Eid holiday for the governmental sector will begin on Shawwal 1 and end on Shawwal 3, 1446 AH, and work resuming on Shawwal 4.
According to the Gregorian calendar, this translates from March 30 to April 1, 2025, and work continues the day after on April 2.
