Irina Shayk in Vivienne Westwood’s Spring/Summer 2023 Campaign by Juergen Teller exudes an emboldened aura channelling powerful energy and celebrates the beauty of individual expression. Designer Andreas Kronthaler was inspired by Katherine Rundell, specifically her work ‘Super-Infinite – The Transformations of John Donne’ to reimagine the late Westwood’s signature style. Photographed by Juergen Teller, the bold colours, and patterns with striking silhouettes set against dark backdrops invoke the bygone era of the English Renaissance in a modern light.

Reiterating the empowering motto “Be your own BOSS,” the BOSS Spring/Summer 2023 campaign delivers a deep dive into the building blocks of what it takes to overcome challenges and personal struggles to embrace your full potential. Sharing the origin stories of six leading talents from various fields, the campaign intends to inspire with the message that BOSSes aren’t born – they’re made. Mikael Jansson photographs emotionally charged visuals of Naomi Campbell, Maluma, Gigi Hadid, Lee Minho, Khaby Lame and Matteo Berrettin. This campaign depicts the new collection in a way that motivates, highlighting that all paths in life present countless twists of fate, yet the journey to becoming who we were meant to be starts within us.

MIU MIU x Emma Corrin, Kendall Jenner, Ever Anderson

Miu Miu dives into the discovery of self-expression and the desire to challenge convention by asking ‘What is the function of fashion?’ in their new campaign, inviting the wearer to acknowledge the importance of fashion in a variety of different ways. Ever Anderson, Achol Ayor, Emma Corrin, Kendall Jenner, Esther McGregor, Quintessa Swindell, Karolin Wolter and Lim Yoona are photographed by Zoe Ghertner channelling their distinctive beauty and sense of style. The collection shot reflects Miu Miu’s now widely recognised thematics, including the re-proportioning of tailored jackets, shorts, trousers, skirts, and shirts. With this new season, Prada promises freedom in everything from serious to playful to fragile to powerful.

JAEGER-LECOULTRE X ANYA TAYLOR-JOY

Anya Taylor-Joy stars in Jaeger LeCoultre’s latest campaign, “Walk into the Dawn,” a dreamy tribute to the Rendez-Vous Dazzling Shooting Star that embraces femininity. Motivated by the wonders of the night sky, the Rendez-Vous Dazzling Shooting Star debuted at Watches & Glories in 2022. Shooting stars are a unique type of celestial phenomenon, and Jaeger LeCoultre’s watchmakers were intrigued by their fleeting beauty. Without using words, Anya conveys a narrative through a dance routine that replicates the trajectory of the shooting star across the watch display with its lightness, grace, and swirling motion.

Prada X Nicolas Winding Refn

Embodying Prada characters, Prada stories, and Prada lives, the Prada SS23 campaign starts with a film by Nicolas Winding Refn titled Touch of Crude. Through themes of emotional complexity, parallels and paradoxes of alternate perspectives, both women’s and men’s collections by Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada are positioned as a continuum of endless reflections. The notion of Prada characters the campaign with an ensemble cast of faces with immediate resonance and international renown with actors Vincent Cassel, Jaehyun Jeong, Louis Partridge, Hunter Schafer, and Letitia Wright, alongside the models Guinevere van Seenus and Rachel Williams. The campaign shot by David Sims is influenced by the style of vintage Hollywood and European films as we catch glimmers of an unwritten tale developing between various viewpoints from different lives. A significant complexity is developed by utilising the diverse character that comes with so many various personalities in one situation, bringing simplicity and directness into the Prada world.

HUGO X Evan Mock, Tinashe, Bella Poarch

The mantra “#HUGOYourWay” is back with a new meaning and spirit while keeping in line with the brand’s recent revamp. Embracing the new generation of rebels for their individuality and attitude, HUGO Spring/Summer 2023 debuts its most daring campaign yet. Imbuing the campaign with their eccentricity and talent, Evan Mock’s playful charm, Tinashe’s daring defiance, and Bella Poarch’s strikingly cool confidence carry unique colours to the campaign. Contemporary, oversized denim, a sleekly reimagined logo, and layers of signature HUGO red make this season’s style statement. Along with HUGO’s signature red hue ever present in the campaign shots, the individual artistries are all united by uniqueness – just like HUGO. The SS23 campaign honours real individuals—those who follow their own paths and dress in ways that are distinctively their own.

Bottega Veneta X Kate Moss

The Bottega Veneta SS23 campaign spotlights Matthieu Blazy’s second collection with his concept of “travelling to the muse,” presenting a trip through many locales, each of which informs the visual codes of the imagery. From Kate Moss in a landscape imagined by Gaetano Pesce for the Bottega Veneta show to Emma Balfour nearby her coastal home in Australia, collaborators are characters whose personalities have helped inform the approach. The House’s recently released Andiamo Bag is the campaign’s main focus. The distinctive intrecciato method has found a new expression in Andiamo, which was created by the skilled workmanship of workers in the workshop of Bottega Veneta.

The Proenza Schouler Spring Summer 2023 Collection is an ecstatic cacophony of energy, joy, and the tactile and sensuous elements that make life enjoyable. Kendall Jenner, Selena Forrest, and singer Arca front the campaign featuring a variety of tactile textures including elasticated terry tweed, glossy techno leather, moulded lace, and metallic hand crochet. In keeping with the comeback of tote bags, the collection introduces the Bar Bag, which can be carried as a tote or folded over into a clutch, or worn crossbody.

Givenchy X GIGI HADID

Givenchy’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection incorporates urban comfort with Matthew M. Williams’ contemporary interpretation of tailoring heritage to produce a stunning and opulent work of art. Starring models Gigi Hadid, Selena Forrest, and Luna Passos, the campaign shot by Heji Shin expresses both strength and glitz with its eye-catching images that radiate grandeur. Debuted on the Givenchy runway for Spring/Summer 2023, the versatile Givenchy statement bag of the season, the Voyou is the star of the campaign. The juxtaposition of Parisian elegance and the comfort of American sportswear that crucial in establishing this season’s mood is evident.
