Pantone has recently announced the Colour of the Year for 2023, named Viva Magenta. The gorgeous colour is very reminiscent to Valentino’s Pink PP, which was popularised all over runways and social media last year. According to the Pantone website the colour is an emblem for ‘strength,’ the website also stated what the colour signifies, expressing ‘Viva Magenta is brave and fearless, and a pulsating colour whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration, writing a new narrative.’ Every year a colour is selected after thorough analysis of the trends in the art, fashion, films and other creative industries along with other relevant topics.
