Aged only 26, the Emirati princess has broken many records, including becoming the first female to become First Lieutenant Pilot, and now captain, as part of the Dubai Police.
The sheikha regularly shares insights with her 130,000 Instagram followers into life as a pilot for the Dubai Police Force.
Most recently, Sheikha Mozah took to the social media platform to share a glimpse into her daily flight routine.
In a brief yet captivating snippet, she offered an insider’s view of her life in the skies, expertly piloting the helicopter over the familiar skyscrapers of Dubai Marina.
She captioned her story with a series of thoughtful hashtags #myoffice and #alwaysgrateful underscoring her adoration for journeying over the skies.
A fruitful aviation career
Sheikha Mozah first qualified as a pilot over seven years ago, joining Emirates at just 19 years old.
Her Highness then joined the Dubai Police Force in 2019 as a First Lieutenant Pilot, the first female in the UAE to do so. After four successful years as First Lieutenant, Her Highness was promoted to Captain Pilot last year.
While Sheikh Mozah has broken barriers for women in the UAE, she knows all too well some of the challenges that women face entering male-dominated spaces.
On a recent visit to Azzam, Al Ruwaya Camp, which serves as a space for interactive workshops in the police and security fields, Sheikha Mozah discussed the role of women in the military in the UAE and some of the challenges she herself has faced.
“[I] had a remarkable visit to Azzam, Al Ruwaya Camp, where interactive workshops are held to share experiences and lessons in security, police, social, and educational fields,” she said of her visit. “I was honoured to speak about the role of women in the military, share my challenges (my opportunities to grow & learn), and engage in a Q&A session with the amazing youth of our future.”
