It’s been quite the year for Her Highness Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
In the last 12 month she wed His Highness Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum in a lavish ceremony in Dubai, travelled across Europe and announced she was expecting her first child.
Now, just as she celebrated her 30th birthday, Her Highness has revealed the gender of her baby on Instagram.

With adoring pictures of her beloved husband Sheikh Mana, and her mum Zoe Grigorakos, the Emirati princess shared some extremely exciting news. Captioned “💖 26.02 💖” the pink wonderland backdrop gives away most of the reveal. Holding a rosy balloon with a question mark embellishment in one image, the photo that follows it reveals the answer. “It’s A Girl” the heart-shaped balloon exclaims, being held by both future parents.
The unborn baby girl will be another granddaughter to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The new princess is a part of a renowned and purposeful lineage.
The baby girl’s mother Sheikha Mahra also carries some major influence of her own.
Making a mark in the world of philanthropy, fashion and entrepreneurship, she continues to pave a new way for Arab women across the region. While her fashion looks has floored us time and time again, her endless commitment to giving back is what truly encapsulates the Her Highness.
Welcoming a new sheikha to the ever-growing royal family, this reveal comes four short months after the initial pregnancy announcement. Centring her beloved family above all, Sheikha Mahra has embraced many changes to her life across the last year.
