Her Highness Sheikh Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is an individual who likes to give back to her community, whether it’s supporting local brands, budding entrepreneurs or philanthropic ventures.
In one of her most recent outings – the first since she announced her pregnancy – the daughter of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, paid a visit to the Rashid Centre For People Of Determination, where she spent time with a number of the children at the centre.
Sheikha Mahra gives back to the community
The Rashid Centre was founded in 1994 to offer children with special needs specialized education, rehabilitation and social interaction programs.
Sheikha Mahra posted a video on Instagram of her visit to the Rashid Center for People of Determination, which is located in the Al Barsha neighborhood of Dubai.
In the video, Sheikha Mahra interacted with Mariam Othman, the CEO of the Rashid Centre, who offered her a tour of the facility. The Dubai royal participated in a variety of activities within the different rooms at the centre. The activities included painting, playing instruments and tasting food prepared by the kids.
The sheikha shared an array of meaningful snippets of her trip to the centre that show her meeting representatives and partaking in activities.
Her Highness also donated a large amount of toys the Rashid Centre, of which they expressed their gratitude to the royal with a package containing lovely flowers, decorations and a framed photo.
Her recent pregnancy announcement
Her Highness’ recent public appearance comes after she announced the exciting news she was expecting her first child with her husband, His Highness Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum.
Sheikha Mahra shared a picture of an ultrasound on Instagram stories to announce her pregnancy news. Sheikha Mahra captioned the photo, “Just the three of us,” and tagged Sheikh Mana, who then re-shared it.
A fairytale wedding
The joyous news of a new addition to their family comes after Sheikha Mahra and Sheikh Mana married earlier this year.
The pair celebrated their Katb Al-Kitab, the customary Islamic wedding ceremony and signing of the marriage contract, back in April, followed by a grandiose wedding ceremony at the end of May.
Sharing a number of images on social media, the royal bride looked stunning in a unique wedding dress designed by Dubai-based designer Ezra Couture. The ceremony was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre’s Saeed Hall.
