Shakira has not had a great run in the romance department, lately. After a year-long separation from Spanish footballer Gerard Piqué, whose long-standing affair with Clara Chia Marti was allegedly the catalyst for divorce, the Colombian singer seems ready to move on. And where better to find love than under the Miami sun?
At the Formula One Grand Prix in Miami, Florida, over the weekend, Shakira sent the internet spiralling once again when she was spotted mingling with none other than Tom Cruise.
The Top Gun star, who was reportedly scheduled to attend King Charles III’s coronation on Saturday but backed out last minute, opted to head to Florida instead. He did, however, record a personal video message that played at the Coronation Concert.
Shakira, 46, and Cruise, 60, were spotted talking in the event’s VIP section, with the singer’s son Milan also with them, igniting rumours of a potential romance instantly.
While there’s been little to no news on the actor’s love life since his 2012 divorce from actress Katie Holmes, Shakira’s tumultuous divorce has been making headlines all year.
Announcing a separation from Piqué last June over infidelity, things took a turn when the athlete made things official with his alleged mistress. To make matters even more interesting, it was reported that Piqué’s family was aware of the affair. The singer then dropped a breakup banger to shade her ex that went on to break 14 Guinness World Records.
