Earlier this year we were gifted with the celebrity relationship we didn’t know we needed and no, we’re not thinking of Bennifer 2.0. Enter A$AP Rocky and Rihanna. The pair had been close friends for some time before going public with their romance in June. Now, it hasn’t taken long for fans to convince themselves that the “Love On The Brain” singer is actually pregnant.
This week Rihanna was honoured as Barbados’ national hero as the country went independent from the British Monarchy for the first time. The pop star and beauty mogul was photographed wearing a Bottega Veneta gown with her hands crossed over her mid-section. Apparently that is enough to send the internet into a pregnancy-fuelled frenzy.
Adding further fuel to the rumour mill, social media account @TheAcademy published an image of RiRi and Rocky with a caption that simply reads: “Rihanna is pregnant with her first child with A$AP Rocky.” By the looks of it, there is no source or link attached to the bold claim.

Naturally #rihannapregnant began trending on TikTok. At the time of publishing the hashtag has amassed over 475,000 views and counting. Most of the videos are on the reaction of Drake when he finds out or how a baby will ruin the “new” Rihanna.

In some ways it is laughable to think that a single image has garnered this much hysteria. Although, Kourtney Kardashian did spark her own pregnancy rumours in October (again) after posting an image with her hands framing her stomach. Travis Barker commented, “Our sons (sic) name would be Elvis” to which one user replied, “anyone else think that’s a massive hint that Kourtney is pregnant?”
Obviously Rihanna nor A$AP Rocky have responded to comments. Stay tuned.
