It seems the famed reality show, Real Housewives of Dubai, which previously took the Middle East and global eyes by storm after premiering two years ago, is facing an indefinite pause.
Fans of the show were met with the news over the weekend which caused quite a stir despite it being a fan-favourite as opposed to other franchises.
Showing success since its first season which was released in 2022, viewers expected the show to roll over with more seasons to come after.
Though Bravo TV has yet to release an official statement on the topic, according to the viewership between seasons one and two, with the latter season faced an unexpected dip in average watchers, which may have resulted in the brief hiatus. The reunion episode also didn’t seem to help the case, being the lowest-watched episode of the series.
The show, which featured Dubai’s most notorious women known to flaunt their hard-earned successes, such as Chanel Ayan, Caroline Brookes, Caroline Stanbury, Sara Al Madani, Lesa Milan, and the newest addition to the cast for the second season, Taleen Marie, initially had rumours circulating on a potential return for a third season despite no official word from Bravo TV.
In response to the premature news, Caroline Brooks addressed the speculation on X in late October. She said, “Not sure where all of these #RHODubai rumors are coming from.” She further mentioned that nothing was announced to the cast, “Bravo hasn’t announced anything and our ENTIRE cast hasn’t been told anything.”
However, after US Weekly confirmed the pause, Brooks returned to X to set the record straight and address the misinformation circulating online. “This aged well… #RHODubai Ladies,” she wrote. “Don’t debunk things and make false announcements to mislead people. Girls speaking about “shakeups” and all of the debunking, was.. well.. interesting to watch on my timeline.”
