Breast cancer claims the lives of many women from around the world every year. With an estimate of over 2.3 million, the disease has surpassed lung cancer in being the most commonly diagnosed form of cancer. In order to raise awareness and break the taboos surrounding this life-threatening disease, major breast cancer charity organisations run an annual campaign aimed at gathering the necessary funds and sharing important information to prevent the spread of the disease. The fashion industry is painted pink this month as a large number of brands have stepped up to support the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here’s a list of our favourite initiatives.
