Twice a year, the highest echelon of the fashion industry comes together to showcase the epitome of art, craftsmanship, and opulence on the grand stage of Paris Fashion Week. Making its return in September, the collection of runways marks an esteemed, recurring presence on the fashion calendar, bringing an abundance of avant-garde pieces from maisons that stand as iron-clad pillars of the luxury industry – each seamlessly crafting formulas that equate to timeless elegance through intricate design and artistry. Now, the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode has unveiled the women’s ready-to-wear provisional calendar for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2027 season.
Over nine days, from September 28 to October 6, designers will descend on the fashion capital to make their mark on the Parisian stage. The itinerary counts 68 shows and 33 presentations – slightly less packed than SS26’s 74 shows and 37 presentations – but no less poised to showcase the grandest forms of high fashion from the industry’s greatest forces, ready to reiterate the event’s founding philosophy: fashion is the highest embodiment of art.
The week is expected to welcome back mainstay maisons such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, CELINE, Balenciaga, Miu Miu, and Loewe. Notably, Louis Vuitton will close the week – a fitting reprise, as the Maison has frequently been entrusted with the honour over the past decade. The opening, however, belongs to Julie Kegels, an emerging Belgian label favoured by stars like Dua Lipa and Charli XCX, which also appeared during Fall/Winter 2026–2027.
Alongside the regulars, several of couture’s most contemporary voices are expected to make an appearance, with Schiaparelli, ALAÏA, and Vivienne Westwood arriving with their most exclusive work in tow. While the powerful names behind most of these houses remain familiar, ALAÏA’s collection will be designed by the house studio, as Pieter Mulier departed the label earlier this year to become Versace’s chief creative officer, with no successor yet named.
Standing at the forefront of regional representation is Elie Saab, with a show set for October 3 at 4:30pm in Paris. The house is widely recognised as a global ambassador for Middle Eastern luxury, having brought its signature opulence to fashion’s grandest stages – including a steady presence on the Parisian runway for the past two decades.
As for those stepping into new territory, Maxhosa Africa joins the calendar for the first time. The South African label, founded by designer Laduma Ngxokolo, has been worn by the likes of Beyoncé and Michelle Obama. Additional debuts include Courrèges’ new artistic director, Drew Henry, previously senior design director at Burberry, and Carven’s new design director, Kai Nesselrath, who spent a decade at Saint Laurent, most recently as head designer.
Fashion’s most anticipated event may seem far off, but the Spring/Summer 2026–2027 lineup proves the season will be worth the wait. Scroll below for the full schedule.
