Fashion followers and sneakerheads may be delighted at the prospect of a new shoe to add to their closets. This time, it comes courtesy of New Balance and Miu Miu – an unlikely pair that are marking their second sneaker collaboration.
For their SS24 release, the premium sportswear brand and luxury fashion house are bringing a fresh perspective to the iconic New Balance 530. The legendary running shoe is known for its chunky design and superior tech, while’s Miu Miu’s version takes on a more streamlined approach.

This is achieved through the removal of the original design’s signature ABZORB-infused sole, thus creating a slim, flat, retro-inspired running shoe that also sports Miu Miu’s luxurious appeal. Officially dubbed the 530 SL, the name is drawn from the fact that it’s ‘super light’.
In the campaign video, which dropped online this week, two versions of the shoe is presented – one in distressed sued in a warm, natural colour palette (which we caught a glimpse of last year through a sneak peek on IG ) and the other in a cool, crisp white colourway. The laces come in a variety of materials including leather and sailing cord, adding versatility to an otherwise minimal design. With a striking blend infusing the essence of both brands, those wearing the 530 SL are invited to choose between them, adapting it to their personal style.
Where to shop the New Balance x Miu Miu collaboration in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and GCC
Officially released on February 22, the 530 SL is available to shop via Miu Miu’s website. Currently out of stock, availability in the UAE, GCC, and KSA is still imminent, as the site ships to the region through its dedicated AE channel. The 530 SL will set you back approximately Dhs4113.65.
