Anyone’s who’s seen a Moschino show in real life will be well-versed in the fantasy worlds Creative Director Jeremy Scott dreams up every season. For FW22, it was as if he’d reimagined the mansion from Beauty and the Beast as a high fashion collection; using candelabras as headpieces, silver serving trays as bustiers, iron house keys as earrings and complete grandfather clocks as intricate dresses.

Sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid were the ladies of the metaphorical Moschino house, dressed head to toe in Scott’s wildest creations. Gigi closed the show in a gilt golden gown, while Bella made waves in a sleek black strapless column complete with shoulder-length gloves.

As it always is at Moschino, the beauty was also a feast for the eyes. Hair was sculpted into retro-inspired coiffs, wrapped neatly around the face and down the nape of the neck. The finish was smooth and glossy — straight from the pages of a fairytale novel.

Makeup was equally glamorous. Instead of hyper-shiny meta skin, each model’s complexion was instead powdered, polished and matte. Soft peachy shades were used to add dimension to cheeks and lips, while eyes were framed with inky black wings (a Moschino show signature). Lashes were fluffy, brows were bold and the overall mood was rich lady vintage glamour — exactly what we would also like to wear whilst skulking around a hollow mega mansion.
