Technology is advancing at an unbelievable speed and it has become such a prominent part of our everyday lives that it is hard to imagine spending a day without it. Due to our dependability of it, many markets and industries have seized and implemented it, so with fashion being such an ever-changing market, it comes as no surprise that it would join in as well. For the first time ever, a Fashion Week will be hosted in the metaverse and we can’t say we’re surprised.
Fashion week is one of the biggest events within the fashion industry, so with technology making constant leaps and bounds, it was a no-brainer for one to take place in the Metaverse as well. The Metaverse Fashion Week is a computer-generated fashion show within a virtual reality world where the characters, known as avatars, are the ones taking the models’ places.
The UAE ready-to-wear fashion house BRIAR PRESTIDGE- The Label decided to keep up with the trends and launch a collection of digital power suits at the first ever Metaverse Fashion Week. This event will be in partnership with the digital fashion house Republiqe, where the suits will be available to purchase, and French accessory retailer Monnier Paris, who will serve as the virtual store. The event will take place from the 24th through 27th of March at the Luxury Fashion District and will be open 24/7 throughout the entire week. The best part is that five of the outfits will be physically showcased at the store for you to purchase and wear in real life.
