The most iconic movie of the 2000s is making a comeback, but this time with a twist. The forever-fetch Mean Girls alumnus, Lindsay Lohan dropped by to make a surprise appearance at the premiere of the new Mean Girls movie.

Jetting off from Dubai to New York City for the premiere, Lindsay joined her former OG co-star Tina Fey on the pink carpet. Given that it wasn’t a Wednesday, Lindsay aka Cady Heron wasn’t wearing pink, instead she opted for a sophisticated draped black dress with an open back as she graced the pink carpet. Although it wasn’t very on-brand for the movie it’s safe to say the star looked “like really pretty” regardless.

Twenty years on from the original release from Mean Girls, the new iteration of the franchise will take on a musical format with actress Angourie Rice casted as Cady Heron and Reneé Rapp as Regina George. The only original cast members to reprise their roles will be Fey, playing the role of math teacher, Ms. Norbury and Tim Meadows as Principal Duvall.

Prior to the premiere of the new Mean Girls movie, the original cast of the iconic movie reunited to reprise their roles for a Walmart Black Friday commercial. Amanda Seyfried, Lindsay and Lacey Chabert reunited for a quick commercial that looks into the future of ‘the plastics’ whilst discussing amazing deals. Even with the notable absence of Regina George (Rachel McAdams), the commercial proved to be a hit among fans who grew up with the movie.

After growing up in the spotlight Lindsay decided to step back from the constant buzz of making headlines when she moved to Dubai back in 2014. Since her move to the region, the star has managed to keep her personal life under wraps, only sharing a few fleeting glimpses.

Just last year she welcomed her first child Luai with her husband Bader Shammas, whom she met in a restaurant in Dubai and married in 2022.

Lindsay’s connection with Dubai began almost two decades ago, and for nearly a decade she has called the UAE her home. The once controversial It Girl of the Y2K era committed to leaving behind the flashing lights of Hollywood and living a life recluse in Dubai. This ‘cool mom’ even took to celebrating the new year in Dubai with her husband overlooking the record-breaking fireworks of Burj Khalifa from afar.
