Celebrations will no doubt be underway amongst the Abu Dhabi royal family as one of the UAE president’s granddaughters just celebrated a significant education milestone.
Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Mohammed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, who is one of the grandchildren of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nayhan, graduated from one of the most prestigious universities in the UAE.
Having studied at New York University Abu Dhabi for her undergraduate degree, this week marked the final stage of higher education as the UAE royal walked across the stage to receive her degree.

The year of 2024 has been one of milestones for Sheikha Hessa. Not only has she graduated from university, she also celebrated her wedding earlier this year.
Sheikha Hessa wed His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan in April in a ceremony which took place at Al Mushrif Palace.
As the granddaughter to Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, Sheikha Hessa’s wedding was undoubtedly a lavish occasion. With nine beloved grandchildren, Sheikha Hessa is one of three granddaughters that His Highness has raised.
