After months of waiting, Huda Mustafa has finally released her debut single ‘Bad Girls’, and it might just be the song of the summer.
Most of us remember the Palestinian reality star as the face of Love Island USA season 7, with her name on everyone’s lips last summer. If you haven’t come across the iconic meme “I’m a mommy” / “Mamacita?”, then you clearly aren’t chronically online like we are. Regardless, many of the star’s fans already know that music has been a core part of her world.
Before she entered Love Island, the reality star-turned-singer was widely known as a gym influencer. However, she’d frequently surprise her followers with a glimpse of her impressive vocals by posting song covers. Now, she’s officially made her musical debut.
The 25-year-old’s musical debut comes off the heels of her from Perfect Match star Louis Russell, whom she was dating for around nine months.
The drop of her new pop single was accompanied by a high-concept music video by Edgar Esteves, who has worked with artists such as DJ Khaled and French Montana. The music video is set in a virtual reality where the star is the CEO of “Huda HQ”, her fan-driven empire.
The video features high-quality visuals, with fun choreography and a catchy instrumental. However, the singer’s voice is definitely the main attraction, with her powerful vocals taking the spotlight. The singer has also teased an album release on the horizon, so we’ll have to watch this space.
