After literally sizzling at the Golden Globe Awards last week, Lily James has continued the fashion home run with a sensational sheer gown from Oscar de la Renta.
At first glance you could be forgiven for thinking that James had taken a slightly more risqué approach with the nude panels perfectly matching her skin tone but closer inspection revealed a chic inner layer.
Despite the more subdued colour palette than the bold crimson Atelier Versace gown worn at the recent Globes, the impact was no less dramatic.
The English star was a vision as she walked the red carpet in the caged dress that featured silk and nude mesh panelling and a bow cinching the waist.
Continuing the drama of the dress, James’ make-up was pure Old Hollywood glamour done by Charlotte Tilbury. With a soft, tousled fringe and hair kept up in a simple bun, it could be argued James was channelling the late great Audrey Hepburn.
The awards season has seen Lily James become a multi-nominee for her performance as celebrity icon Pamela Anderson in the Hulu series Pam & Tommy.
James was unrecognisable as the eponymous character, transforming into the bombshell pin-up alongside Sebastian Stan’s Tommy Lee.
Tonight, the 33-year-old actress had been nominated for the Best Actress In A Limited Series Or Movie Made For Television but sadly lost to Amanda Seyfried who won for her portrayal of Elizabeth Holmes in The Dropout.
