If there’s one thing Beirut does brilliantly, it’s produce designers who dress the world’s biggest women without making a fuss about it.

The latest A-lister to step out in a Lebanese designer? None other than supermodel Gigi Hadid.

The 31-year-old recently stepped out in Los Angeles for the 2026 Breakthrough Prize Ceremony, wearing a white David Koma halter-neck gown accessorised with Anayam London jewels.

But it’s what was the footwear she was wearing that got the GRAZIA team talking. Enter the white Carol mule from Lebanese footwear designer Andrea Wazen: a 75mm heel, pointed open toe, and two crystal-embellished buckle straps that were the perfect finishing note to the whole look.

Wazen and her eponymous brand have become a household name in recent years. Raised in Beirut, and having studied fashion design at Istituto Marangoni in Paris before specialising in shoe design at Central Saint Martins in London, going on to train under two of the industry’s most revered names, including Christian Louboutin.

And while she had learned from some of the greatest fashion minds in Europe, it was her home of Lebanon, which called her back in 2013, where she decided to launch her eponymous brand with a single boutique. The result is what the fashion world has come to call “Shoe Couture”.

Over a decade later, A-listers have taken notice.

As well as Gigi Hadid, Beyoncé has been known for wearing pieces by Wazen from time to time, including during a public appearance earlier this month.

The Grammy Award winner was spotted in a pair of Andrea Wazen pointed-toe Denver pumps paired with a custom lace corset bodysuit, a tailored ivory blazer from Zimmermann’s Fall/Winter 2025/2026 collection, and sheer white stockings.

Gigi and Beyoncé are in good company when it comes to Andrea Wazen fans. JLo, Kylie Jenner, and Megan Fox have all stepped into Wazen’s designs – a roster that says everything about where the brand sits right now and where it is heading.
